Certifications

Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor (CERC) is a certification program administered by Environmental Risk Professionals that recognizes contractors who train their employees to understand and mitigate the environmental risks associated with their business. CERC contractors fall into one of the following categories:

Environmental Firms

General and Trade Contractors

Restoration Contractors

Street Sweepers

Transporters

When something goes wrong on a jobsite and an environmental incident occurs, a CERC will not only be trained to mitigate the risk, but they will also have adequate insurance coverage to protect themselves, the general contractor, and the project owner against claims that may arise due to their contracting operations. For more information, contact us or visit https://c-e-r-c.com/.

Sustainability Meets Satisfaction

Discover the benefits of CERC certification, as shared by the CERC Community.

Our CERC demonstrates to the City and private owners that we are the most qualified contractor for any project from pre-construction through project completion, turnover, and long-term maintenance.  Our environmentally responsible construction practices are very well demonstrated through our CERC.

I like having the CERC certification. My company has been building civil infrastructure, water delivery, and hydroelectric projects for years. CERC certification is necessary for raising awareness on the importance of being environmentally responsible in the construction industry. It’s part of our overall profile that says we’re safe, we’re responsible, we deliver high-quality projects.

CERC matters because it is crucial to be transparent with customers and suppliers in regard to compliance and participating in mitigation risk from daily activities and projects environmental organizations take part in. It is all too easy for a firm to say they care about the environment but without certifying that in some way, those words are meaningless. Our commitment to train our staff to mitigate risk and insure our projects to cover our partners, are the foundation of our commitment to the environment.
